this is me at the groove all stars, a couple years back..

this was a soundcheck with soul asylum at the lincoln park zoo.. i dunno who let those kids in..

me, tommy aldridge and gerry brown at groove all stars..

this is from soul asylum's first gig with tommy stinson at 1st Ave..

Herman Jackson, Sonny T, the bass player in the band that we
punked into letting us sit in, and me in some club in France...
This is me, pointing out a perfect dent that I put in the standard
batter head that comes on a ludwig snare drum.
David Sancious, me, Herman Jackson, and Sonny T on a bridge,
during a Sunday morning visit to the Parisian countryside.
A shot of me, during a tour I was on with Foley Macreary.
Me, and an english artist that I met in Los Angeles, named JC Superstar.
I told him that if he booked a studio in Minneapolis and got himself
here,
I would play on his record for nothing....
he actually took me up on the offer. This photo was taken
during the session at the now non-existent "Oarfin Studios".
Brian Johnson, who engineered the session, and "Icky" James
Rhines,
my drum tech, my consigliere, my confidant, and an all around, truly
crusty, individual...
I love this dude.
Mr. Hayes, before a show time at Wembley Arena. Apparently
unphased by 20,000 yelling people, only a few yards away.
a polaroid taken by Nicole Nodland, during a photo shoot for
a Prince and the NPG single called, "The Max".
I don't remember if the song ever came out as a single.
Levi Seacer, Jr., me, Patrice Rushen, and Miko Weaver at the
taping of Saturday Night Live's 15th Year Anniversary. This was
my first live appearance with Prince, I was 19 or 20. We played
"Electric Chair" from the Batman motion picture soundtrack.
Sonny T., obviously rousted out of a pre-gig nap to take this picture,
and Mr. Hayes, backstage at Wembley Arena.
France Gall and me, at a birthday party she threw for me at her house
in Paris,
during a weekend break from her farewell tour, in 1996.
One of the nicest women I've ever met... The band was me, Sonny T.,
Herman Jackson, Kamil Rustam, David Sancious, Reggie Calloway, and Keith
John.
Me and Sonny T, at a rehearsal in France Gall's office building, for
a
TV performance on M6, in France the following year.
Me, trying to look like I know what I'm doing....
Basically, the baddest living guitarist, and one of the greatest musicians
I've ever known....
Jef Lee Johnson, and Tommy Barbarella in the
background. This was at the Sons of Almighty gig at the Quest Nightclub
in 2001, I think.
Me, standing on the steps of an old church in Italy on Sunday,
scaring the tourists. If I remember correctly,
this town was so far in the outskirts, that they had
no hotels. So, we stayed at a monastery...that was tripped out.
No TV, no radio, barely electricity, totally old and creepy, except
for the fact that my
bathroom had been recently remodeled...
and it was freakishly huge. Like a quarter the size of a gymnasium shower.
Strange. I didn't get it...
Me, Sonny T, G Mo, Kim, Toi, Rhonda, Franceso, Mamma,
and the rest of the staff at Cabreo, in Viareggio, Italy,
during Christmas 1997. We were working with Giorgia,
a singer from Rome. Her manager booked a gig for New Year's Eve
and as an added incentive to get us to agree to do it,
he payed for us to each fly a guest over to spend the hoidays with us.
Also, if you look closely, in the back, on the right hand side, there's
Enrico,
who is now Giorgia's tour manager, and was always a quality human being.
Me and Cedric "Blue" Ellis, who worked band security for Prince
and the NPG.
For some reason, he was possessed to put on my stage clothes one day,
and just walk around.
I wasn't all that amused at first, but later, it seemed funny, sorta...
Me, telling Cedric that if he was gonna be me, he had to ham it up,
quite a bit more when there's a camera around...
Me, Giorgia, and Sonny T. at the hotel residence esplanade, in Viareggio,
Italy in 1997.
Sonny is apparently endorsed by San Pellegrino, so he had to represent....
Sonny's the best.
Margaret Cox, Dr. Fink, and Candy Dulfer got in on the second shot taken
at the
Saturday Night Live 15th Year Anniversary. That was everybody, except
Prince.
Mandy Moore and I working on her new album in Los Angeles, June 2005.
jason scheff, from the band Chicago, me, and john fields
